On International Youth Day (12th August), we celebrate the work of youth advocates across the world and the important contribution that their efforts have made to the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
We are also relaunching our crowdfunding campaign and seek for your support to help us continue to empower young people and be actors for change: https://www.gofundme.com/SupportYouAct
At YouAct, we believe that young people have the power to bring about real and lasting change, and to mobilise others to do so too.
Youth-led networks contribute to the development of civic and leadership skills among young people, and provide youth with opportunities to work together and challenge existing barriers to change.
Our work, as well as that of our partners, demonstrates the importance of youth empowerment in the fight for progress, and the defence of human rights.
This International Youth Day we are therefore reminded of how far we have come but also, how far we have left to go. There have been funding cuts across the board in the field of sexual and reproductive rights, and youth organisations sometimes find themselves among the most affected by these cuts.
This is why we need your help. Today, we relaunch our crowdfunding campaign, and so we are asking you to help us to continue our fight to protect and defend the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people.
We have prepared some graphics with statistics that demonstrate the pressing need for support among youth organisations who are active in the fields of SRHR and gender equality.
Please help us continue to empower young people and become actors for change.
